Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about certified Arabic translation and how we work.
What is a certified Arabic translation?
A complete translation with a signed statement that it is accurate and that the translator is competent in Arabic and English. It's what USCIS, courts and most US agencies require.
Do I need a certified or a notarized translation?
USCIS and most agencies only need a certified translation. Some schools, consulates and courts ask for the certification to be notarized. Check the wording of the requirement, or tell us where the translation is going and we'll advise.
How much does an Arabic translation cost?
It depends on the document type, length and the certification you need. Email your documents to info@arabic-translator.com and we'll send a free, fixed-price quote.
How long does it take?
It depends on volume and complexity. Your quote states a delivery date. If you have a deadline, tell us in your first email.
Can I send photos instead of scans?
Yes, as long as the whole page is visible and every word is readable.
Do you need my original documents?
No. We work from copies. Agencies normally want a copy of the original document along with the translation.
How will my name be spelled?
Exactly as you tell us, normally as on your passport, and consistently across all your documents.
Which Arabic dialects do you work with?
We translate written Arabic from every Arabic-speaking country, and transcribe spoken dialects. For translation into Arabic we use Modern Standard Arabic unless you need a specific dialect. See our dialects guide.
Do you use machine translation?
No. Your documents are translated by professional human translators.
Are my documents kept confidential?
Yes. Your documents are used only to produce your translation and are not shared with anyone else. We'll sign an NDA on request.
Do you translate into Arabic as well?
Yes. See English to Arabic translation.
Do you work with clients outside the USA?
Yes. See our pages for the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
